Backpack Buddy Privacy Policy

Backpack Buddy is designed to work without account sign-in, school login, district integration, email scanning, or cloud storage. The app helps parents track school forms, deadlines, supplies, fees, teacher notes, kid profiles, optional file/photo attachments, and reminder preferences on device.

Information Backpack Buddy stores

School planner information you enter is stored locally on your device using app storage. This includes kid profiles, item titles, due dates, item types, amount-due fields, teacher/contact notes, general notes, file/photo attachment references, and reminder preferences.

Purchases

Backpack Buddy uses Apple in-app purchase and RevenueCat to offer and manage Backpack Buddy Pro. Purchase history may be processed to unlock paid features, validate purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and understand subscription performance. Backpack Buddy does not use purchase history for tracking or third-party advertising.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Backpack Buddy asks your device for notification permission and schedules local notifications based on the dates you enter. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your device settings.

Third-party services

Backpack Buddy uses RevenueCat for subscription purchase validation, entitlement management, and subscription analytics. Backpack Buddy does not use third-party advertising trackers, school integrations, email import services, cloud databases, or document-sync services in the current app version.

Children

Backpack Buddy is a productivity app for parents and guardians. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children on a developer server.
